Somalia’s NISA Director suspends his two deputies amid security challenges

The Director of Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Hussein Osman Hussein has suspended two of his deputies on Monday.

In a decree from his office, the NISA chief stated that he sent home Abdalla Abdalla Mohamed and Abdikadir Mohamed Nor after considering the security challenges in the Intelligence and Security agency’s work.

Hussein has not revealed the reason behind the suspension of the two officials but the decision comes after Al-Shabaab carried out series of explosions in Mogadishu in the last few weeks.

There were no immediate replacements announced in the statement issued by the NISA commander
