Mogadishu (UM) – Somali security forces raided the house of a well known politician and senator of the Upper House while conducting a search of his house.
According to Senator Qaybdiid his house was raided when he was away attending a session in the Upper House. Even though there was no casualty reported, the Senator said his guards were harassed and the gate of his house demolished.
The Somali government remained tight lipped about the incident but sources confirmed that the attack was not authorized by the Somali government and instead carried out by members of Emirati trained Somali forces.
The attack comes after another fatal one that caused the death of six guards that were guarding a prominent politician when his house was attacked by Somali National intelligence Agency (NISA).
