The finance Minister of Somalia Dr. Abdirahman Duale Beileh delivered a key note lecture at Harvard University Kennedy School in Boston.
The Minister’s speech focused on, The financial and economy progress of Somalia and the remaining challenges to overcome to make Somalia secure, a prosperous. Minister Beileh provided a background a Somalia’s current situation and presented the successes and challenges undertaken his by Ministry and government of Somalia and the IMF’s Staff Monitored Program (SMP).
Minister Beileh argued that Somalia provided the world with a unique challenge and opportunity in its development. The minister challenged policy making and academic at Harvard University as well as students to think outside of the box when they are dealing with Somalia.
The Minister also met with African students at the Harvard School to discuss wider development issues at the African continent.

The Minister will proceed to Washington D.C where he will participate in the IMF and World Bank Spring Meeting.
