Mogadishu (UM) – The two leaders held a Joint press conference after their meeting which bith leaders said was fruitful and productive.
President Farmaajo during the press conference said that he discussed strengthening Somalia’s bilateral relations with the Ethiopian Prime Minister. Both leaders agreed that railways infrastructures, investment, trade and long boder issues and strengthening the diplomatic relations with the new Ethiopian leadership was crucial.
The Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, expressed his joy on his first official visit to Somalia as Prime Minister. The PM thanked President Farmaajo and the Somali people for the warm welcome and hospitality and conveyed greeting from the Ethiopian people.
During the Press conference the PM said that he highlighted the importance of trade, investment and security cooperation to President Farmaajo. Mr Abiy said that Ethiopia and Somali shares so much, including, culture, religion, language and trade. He added that the both new leadership of Ethiopia and Somalia can improve and work together to improve the two brotherly East African Nations relations further.
